Remove my troubles, O Shiva, kindly grant me Your divine darshan,
You are the One who removes the suffering of Your devotees.
You always bring auspiciousness to all,

Grant me the great virtue of devotion to Shiva,

Your body is adorned with the sacred ash of the cremation ground,
You always keep the company of the spirits,
Though You wear the sacred mark and hold poison in Your throat, grant me nectar.

Where the Vedas proclaim, “Not this, not this,”
There my little mind longs to journey,
You are present throughout the entire world; let me dwell in You, grant me strength.

I am a lone traveler walking upon my path,
Yet why is my soul so sorrowful?
I am tired from struggling again and again; I cannot find the reason, grant me understanding.

Grant my eyes a unique divine radiance,
May I see the form of Shiva throughout all creation,
Dwell within my mind, come into my heart and smile, establish peace within me.

O Innocent Shankar, remove the sorrows of worldly existence,
Grant me the blessed wealth of serving You every day,
Remove pride from my mind, keep arrogance away forever, grant me devotion.

The garland of Rudra beautifully adorns Your body,
A dark serpent hangs around Your neck,
